This are good news for Slovak people as well as Erasmus or other foreigners living in Slovakia. National trains are freesince 17 of November 2014 all over the country, meaning that you can go for example from Ukraine to Austria for free, or to ski in the High Tatras mountains without paying anything else than forfait and rental. Also, is the best new for all those Slovak students who live in a different town than Bratislava, since now going home will be much cheaper. Be ready to know every corner of this country! To get your transport card you need: Valid Slovak ISIC Card ID or Passport Physical presence in the train station (Hlavná Stianica) Once there, go to customer office (not to the normal ticket desk) and ask about it, it should take no longer than 5 minutes and you will be given a plastified card with your data and a QR code, and with that you are ready to travel for free. So far I didn't heard about any deadline to get it, but don't take long to get it. Comments are closed.
