Adrenaline+Traveling=Fun

This time I will talk about some of the coolest things I did during my trips, also showing you where you can do them!

Traveling is not just about seeing monuments and relaxing in a beach, you also need to experience something new, that's why from time to time it  is cool to have some adrenaline burst, or moments that will be recorded in your mind forever, let's have a look!

1) Bungee Jumping, Ukraine

I was 18 in my first trip to Eastern Europe, and of course I went to the deepest core of it: Eastern Ukraine. Among many industrial cities and traditional villages, we went to a big city called Zaporizhia, which has a 42-meter-tall bridge... From where we jumped! While I was waiting for jumpling the scenery was a classical: Rust, Factories, Ladas... But that is all part of the charm. It cost me just 15 euro (at that time exchange rate). Company was totally professional and offered many other jump places, one is higher than 100m!! Check it out! Rope.com.ua

2) Being 500 meters under the earth, Poland

**I’m sorry for not having own pictures of this, we were told not to do pictures and back then, the flash and image quality of phones back then was total shit. This pictures are taken from google trying to portray the closest look to the mine.**

When I was in one of the industrial hubs of Poland, Katowice, they took me to visit one of the famous coal mines of the region, this was not a museum but a real one, we needed to undress and get the work suits, put a safety helmet (essential since big chunks of coal fell on my head) and a gas mask with a breather device, so all looked pretty serious. The "elevator" to the mine confirmed me that it was the real thing, wondering how those wood planks and metal floor could really work. Once inside the temperature raised and the air turn heavy.

Actually, it is the place I regret the most not having a GoPro with me (but back then it didn't exist) because we walk for hours in dark tunnels, sometimes with water until our knees and we finished riding the coolest mine train ever for some minutes. Of course when we left the tunnels, all our faces (and mucus) were black. What can I say, it was an unexpected thing that made me realize first-hand​ the heavy task that Polish miners need to do everyday, giving me a lifelong lesson.

3) School Bus races, USA

When I was 16 I spent a month in Michigan, there my awesome host family took me to many places, but a thing that stroked me the most was that the stereotypical American car show was real! It had everything from big size refillable drinks to car wrestling, but the best definitely was the yellow school bus race, in which one ended up in flames!

4) Riding horses, Mongolia

Ok, this may not feel so "hardcore" but the fact that we were given horses on our own, in a vast open field, all young people, after drinking some traditional milk alcohol and with no speed limit took the ride to the obvious fast epic race in the fields.

It was unique, no buildings, no cars, just grass and horses (and some sheeps), all in a nice afternoon, I think pictures speak by themselves.

Btw there is also a pretty extreme thing to do in Mongolia: shoot a bazooka and ride a tank, but I didn't know you needed to book one month in advance (ask your tour organizer in advance!).

5) A huge zipline, Switzerland

In Grinderwald, a ski resort in the Swiss alps, they put this awesome zipline, called First Flyer, which is the closest (and safest) thing to flying! The distance is inmense, 800 metres long, and it gets quite fast, up to 84 km/h all 50 metres above ground!!! I did it in winter, but is also breathtaking in summer. Basically, it's Heidi's swim for adults :D

6) Eating Scorpions, China

In Pekin you can do a lot of weird things, but one of the craziest stuff you can do is going to the Wangfujing market, where there is a street full with "exotic" food stands. These include worms, starfish, lizards, snakes, sea horses and alive scorpions.

Of course I went for the last, you choose your stick, the cook grills them a few seconds, you take them by the tail... and yum! Actually they were pretty good!

7) Shooting a lot of weapons, Poland

I go to Warsaw a lot, in fact I have been there more than 8 times so I was getting tired of doing same things all the time, that’s why I checked on Tripadvisor.com about alternative stuff to do and I came across PMshooter, a shooting range where you can pick your weapons like in a restaurant menu and pay good price per bullet.
I've always wanted to try that, but so many times before I didn't go to other shooting ranges due to the price (50 euro for 20 bullets of AK-47? No, thanks), here I paid about 38 euro and shot a lot of bullets with 8 different weapons, including the AK-47, the 1911 pistol, UZI, the classical Magnum revolver (which almost took my nose lol) and a powerful shotgun, among others.

The place is really easy to reach since many trams take you to the stop which is 100 meters from the place, in Praga district.
