Travel  and  Collect

9/22/2016

This time I will talk about collections, especially those which can increase with traveling!
Picture
Many tourists buy souvenirs everywhere where they go, but what if those souvenirs follow a pattern? Then you are starting a collection!
People collect kind of everything, from coins to thimbles, also stamps, mugs, shot glasses, t-shirts, postcards... It's a great way to bring nice memories back home!

In this article I will show you my personal collections!

fridge magnets

Picture
Some classical collection items are fridge magnets, since they are cheap and will bring nice memories every time you search for food in the fridge! You can have some rules when getting them, for example I just have one per each country I visit, but if I visit it again, I would get one from a different town I haven't been before (for example, I got Poland magnet when I went to Krakow first time, and Warsaw magnet when I returned to Poland the next year). In this way I don't have my fridge totally covered.

coins

It started as a simple thing of collecting the money I didn't spend abroad. Now it turned out to be something bigger, now having hundreds of coins from every corner of the world, but still, it is not professional collection or anything, just it grew too much too fast! I pick any kind of coin, from older political times like USSR or colonial Africa to souvenir gold coins and pressed cents.

Here you can have a look to some of them!

coasters

You may be wondering, why?? It's simple, it is a colourful, original and extremely cheap thing to collect!
With a huge amount of beers, we have in Europe, it is so easy to make this collection growing fast, and in most bars, nobody is going to be angry with you for taking the coasters (sometimes they are though).
Also you can ask your friends to bring them from their trips! I was just collecting them when I realized that my dorm room could have some decoration, and the previous picture was the result!

Do you have a different kind of collection? It can increase your traveling wishes!
